Creating Crayon NPR Look with RenderMan for Blender 24.4

RenderMan Stylized Looks allows an artist to create an Non-Photorealistic Rendering (NPR) look to the rendered image, these include crayons and water paint.

This is done by decoupling the traditional process of Toon rendering where the shading information resides in the surface/object. Instead Stylized Looks render the an already shaded and lit scene with toon shading information by defining how surfaces react to colors and then using custom brushes to emulate the look.

These looks can be layered to simulate a real life process, which makes the process to achieve the desired look predictable and enjoyable as in real life.

The video below demonstrates my process of simulating a crayon look from a 3d animated scene.
